This stretch of Methow River is 9.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is one of a small number of paddling sections     in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The natural beauty of Okanogan County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Methow River is a location that is rather dried out typically; December   is the wettest month with most snow, and July is when it's the driest. During the warm days of summer highs here at Methow River reach the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Methow River tend to be in the 10's.
