The put-in location is a short drive from Wenatchee, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful scenery of Okanogan County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the McFarland Creek access to Pateros section is one of them. If you've been     out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. There's camping available near Methow River. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. For the period of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Methow River.
