This stretch of Mineral Creek is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging,     so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The North Fork to Alder Lake stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Mineral Creek typically tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Mineral Creek.
