  The scenic beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The starting location is a short drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot
    of people coming here. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length,
suitable for an afternoon trip. This stretch of Mineral Creek - North Fork in Washington is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class IV(V) section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Gale to Mineral Creek  
section is one of them. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.

Briefly about the general area:
The sights at Mount Rainier National Park will blow your mind, and you'll in all probability meet some folks from Elbe here. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Go for a hike on the Big Creek Trail, and going for a hike on the Osborne Mountain Trail is always a magnificent adventure. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mineral Creek - North Fork while night lows are generally in the 40's.
