The nature scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water beats anything. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The FR 25 Bridge to Lewis North Fork stretch of Muddy River in Skamania County is 5.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. A bit of exercise and a chance to
spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The FR 25 Bridge to Lewis North Fork section is the only paddling section along Muddy River. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have
reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. At Muddy River through the months of summer highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures
at Muddy River dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Near Muddy River you hit upon the Muddy River Trail which is a great hiking trail, and going for a hike on the Smith Creek Butte Trail is always a splendid adventure.
