Does anybody know why they changed the Naselle Rivers name? Says Lexy Dove
The Quarry to Brock Creek stretch of Naselle River - North Fork in Washington is 5 miles long and is a class III-IV(V+) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Pacific County scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The beauty of the Olympic Mountains is a great plus for this river. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere,
so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good places for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance
then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting location is a short drive from Astoria, as you can see on the road map further down. Naselle River - North Fork doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Quarry to Brock Creek stretch is the only one. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
