This stretch of Naselle River - North Fork in Pacific County is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV(V+) section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Pacific County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. If you're coming from Astoria it's not a long drive
at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in
Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The beauty of the Olympic Mountains is a great plus for this river. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. Naselle River - North Fork doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Quarry to Brock Creek section is the only one. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling places.
