The nature scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated     and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Briefly about the general area: Nason River gets lots of water; the month with most of the snow is January; July meanwhile is the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Nason River. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's.
