The Mashel River to Mckenna section of Nisqually River is 14 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. There are campgrounds quite near the river where
you can camp. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Mashel River to Mckenna stretch is one of a few paddling stretches
in this river system. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The natural beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.

highs here at Nisqually River get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Nisqually River throughout the wintertime typically plunge into the 30's. Nisqually River is a relatively wet place mostly with much rain; during December this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.
