  The Nooksack Falls to Douglas Fir Campground stretch of Nooksack River - North Fork in Washington is 4.9 miles long and is a class IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations
    in advance you're all set. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you
came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Nooksack Falls to Douglas Fir Campground stretch is just one of many. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The wonderful Whatcom County scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here.

The warmest time of the year at Nooksack River - North Fork arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Nooksack River - North Fork temperatures sink to the 30's. Interesting geology is available here; Horseshoe Bend is close to Nooksack River - North Fork, and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is a forest that you can go to.
