The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Nooksack Falls to Douglas Fir Campground stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. Not too many hotels nearby,     you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This section of Nooksack River - North Fork is 4.9 miles long and has been rated as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Washington scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Nooksack River - North Fork are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Nooksack River - North Fork mostly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime   lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Nooksack River - North Fork nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. Nooksack River - North Fork gets a good deal of water; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you want to visit some attention-grabbing stuff, visit Horseshoe Bend, and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is worth a visit.
