This stretch of Ohanepecosh River in Lewis County is 4.7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This stretch     has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are no other sections to paddle along Ohanepecosh River than the Ohanepecosh Campground to La Wis Wis Campground section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Briefly about the general area: This is such a wonderful river. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Ohanepecosh River. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after   the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Ohanepecosh River fall into the 20's. The high level of rainfall makes Ohanepecosh River a reasonably wet place; through the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
