county,
Palouse Falls State Park to Lyons Ferry State Park section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II 4 miles
The natural beauty of Washington and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Palouse Falls State Park to Lyons Ferry State Park
section is one of them. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t
have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Palouse Falls State Park to Lyons Ferry State Park section of Palouse River is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater.
