The put-in location is a short drive from Hood River, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because
these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Panther Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. There's camping available
near Panther Creek. This is the only paddling stretch along Panther Creek. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful.

At Panther Creek all through the summer highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Panther Creek are in the 30's.
