Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The wonderful Chelan County scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This is the only paddling     section along Peshastin Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The campgrounds here at Peshastin Creek are pretty good. The put-in location is a short drive from Ellensburg, as you can see on the road map further down. Briefly about the general area: Peshastin Creek is a good location of common rain; January is when you get the most snow here; July is the month with the least moisture. Pendleton Canyon is a good place to take a look at close by. Throughout the long summer days here at Peshastin Creek, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's.
