This section of Pilchuck Creek in Snohomish County is 4.4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV section. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Lake Cavanaugh Road to Pilchuck Creek Campsite stretch is just one of many. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Great exercise and spending some quality
time in nature have people coming from far and near. The scenic beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night,
and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy.
