CLASS III+(IV) 6 miles
The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The scenic beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water
are reasons enough to come here and paddle. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Road P-500 above Boulder Creek to Menzel Lake Road Bridge stretch of Pilchuck River is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+(IV) section. Since you're on this
site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more.
