The Pony Bridge to Graves Creek stretch of Quinault River in Washington is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. If you're coming from Aberdeen it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful scenery of Jefferson County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. If you've
been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. The beautiful Olympic Mountains scenery is an added bonus. You
might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The campgrounds here at Quinault River are pretty good. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.

lows drop down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Quinault River. Quinault River is a wet location that gets lots of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
