Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The Geoduck Creek to Kimta Creek stretch of Quinault River - North Fork in Washington is 3 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Geoduck Creek to Kimta Creek section is one of them. The scenic beauty of Jefferson County
and the water flowing gracefully down Quinault River - North Fork attract people from near and far. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your
RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. When you're paddling down a Olympic Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Port Angeles, as you can see on the road map further down. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.

wet place usually with lots of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. For the period of the months of summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Quinault River - North Fork, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
Through the winter highs are mostly in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Quinault River - North Fork descend into the 30's. There's splendid hiking along the Skyline Trail.
