The Preston to Fall City stretch of Raging River is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+ section. If you're coming from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that
the rivers in this state are less manageable. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Raging River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Preston to Fall City section is the only one. There are some good hotels near the river, and if you make reservations
in advance you're all set. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The wonderful Washington scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.

rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. Summer at Raging River comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows at Raging River through the wintertime typically descend into the 30's.
