Attempting to kayak this river is another way to die.... It is not navigable. I've seen 2 people on this river (lived on it for 18 years now) one died and the other barely survived his buddies death..... Says Lee P.
The wonderful Washington scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The put-in location is a short drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby
campground. The Preston to Fall City section is the only paddling section along Raging River. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving.
There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Preston to Fall City section of Raging River in Washington is 5 miles long and is a class III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience.

general area: Teaters Bluff is an out of the ordinary spot to pop by while at Raging River. For the period of the warm months highs here at Raging River reach the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 40's,
