The natural beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. This stretch of Raging River is 5 miles
long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+ section. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in
advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Raging River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Preston to Fall City stretch is the only one.
