For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Road end to Beckler River section is the only paddling section along Rapid River. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and     paddle. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Rapid River a wet place; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. For the duration of the warm months highs here   at Rapid River get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rapid River are in the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. A wooded neighborhood near Rapid River is Skykomish Ranger District, and the snow is great at Stevens Pass.
