If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The wonderful Snohomish County scenery and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. This stretch of Rapid River is 3.6 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
