  This section of Rattlesnake Creek in Klickitat County is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV(V) section. The natural beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in
    mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added
bonus. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The put-in location is a short drive from Hood River, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There are no other sections to paddle along Rattlesnake Creek than the mile 3 to White Salmon section.

in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rattlesnake Creek temperatures sink to the 20's.
