You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. Salmon River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the West Boundary Road Bridge to Q-100 Bridge stretch is the only one.
