If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great
campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The West Boundary Road Bridge to Q-100 Bridge section of Salmon River in Washington is
8.2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II(IV) section. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. Salmon River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the West Boundary Road Bridge to Q-100 Bridge stretch is the only one. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water have people coming here.
