This stretch of Sand Hollow Creek in Washington is 1.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to     the start over and over. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is the only paddling section along Sand Hollow Creek. The wild scenery of the Wenatchee Mountains is great. Briefly about the general area: At Sand Hollow Creek during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Sand Hollow Creek temperatures descend to the 20's. Not much precipitation falls here at Sand Hollow Creek; through December this area sees the most snow; the driest month of the year is July.
