Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You might     be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. The wonderful Washington scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The Bedal Campground to Whitechuck River stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Sauk River regularly tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Sauk River are in the 20's.
