Clear Creek to Darrington section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-III 4 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The beautiful scenery of Snohomish County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch of Sauk River is 4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. There are plenty of other sections
in this river system that can be paddled as well. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting
some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful.
