The nature scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This stretch of Sauk River - North Fork is 1.5 miles long and
is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV+ section. The Above North Fork Falls section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
