Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The wonderful Ferry County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The Log Flume interpretive site to Inchelium Road section of Sherman Creek in Washington is 5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're
willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. There's camping available near Sherman Creek. This is one of a small number of
paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots.

All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Sherman Creek plunge into the
