Washington whitewater - Sherman Creek, Ferry County
Ferry
county,
Log Flume interpretive site to Inchelium Road section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-III 5 miles
If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The scenic beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if
you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The campgrounds here at Sherman Creek are pretty good. The Log Flume interpretive site to Inchelium Road section of Sherman Creek is 5 miles long
and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other places for that. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more.
