Snohomish
county,
Quartz Creek to North Fork Skykomish section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV-V 1.5 miles
This section of Silver Creek in Washington is 1.5 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Snohomish County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling section along Silver Creek. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a short paddling
stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this
state are less manageable. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
