The nature scenery of Snohomish County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This section of Skykomish River is 4.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III+(IV) section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult
than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Sunset Falls to Railroad Bridge section is just one of many. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find
lots of paddling places. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip.
