The natural beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This section of Skykomish River in Washington is 2.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so
you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance
you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. The Railroad Bridge to Big Eddy stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system.
