This section of Skykomish River - North Fork is 10 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-V section of whitewater. The nature scenery of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Skykomish River - North Fork are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state
than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. And of course, there are
campgrounds nearby. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too.
