The Jackson Wilderness to Bear Creek stretch of Skykomish River - North Fork in Snohomish County is 10 miles long and has been rated as a class II-V section by American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.
There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here
are not easy. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your camping stuff. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that.
