The Bear Creek to South Fork confluence stretch of Skykomish River - North Fork is 12.5 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade
Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots
of paddling spots. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
