If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The wonderful King County scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This section of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork in King County is 7.5 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is
not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to
drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that.
Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 70's to Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork temperatures
dip to the 30's. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Mount Defiance Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork a wet place; all through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
