The beautiful scenery of King County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Tanner to North Bend stretch of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork in Washington is 4.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section.
There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Tanner to North Bend stretch is just one of many. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to
drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
