If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The wonderful King County scenery and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. This stretch of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork is 4.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and
just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. There are plenty of other sections in
this river system that can be paddled as well. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.
Briefly about the general area: All through the summer months highs here at Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork throughout the winter regularly descend into the 30's. Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork gets a good deal of water; December is the month that gets the most rain; July is when it's the driest.
