Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This section of Soleduck River in Washington is 3.1 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting
and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The Salmon Cascade to FR 2918 Bridge stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river
system. The beauty of the Olympic Mountains is a great plus for this river. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The put-in location is a short drive from Port Angeles, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page.

most rain; the driest month of the year is July. The warmest time of the year at Soleduck River comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 40's while Soleduck River overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's.
