The wonderful Clallam County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camp stove. Whitewater     rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you're coming from Port Angeles it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the FR 2918 Bridge to Klahowya Campground section is just one of them. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling   down from the sky makes Soleduck River a wet site; the month with most of the rain is November; July on the other hand is the driest. During the summer months highs here at Soleduck River get into the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Soleduck River.
