This section of Soleduck River in Clallam County is 11 miles long and is a class III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The scenic beauty of Clallam County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The campgrounds here at Soleduck River are pretty good. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Port Angeles,
as you can see on the road map further down. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wild scenery of the Olympic Mountains is great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
Briefly about the general area: Soleduck River is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November, and July on the other hand is the driest. During the months of summer at Soleduck River temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Throughout
the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Soleduck River are in the 30's.
