Klahowya Campground to Bear Creek section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II+ 7.5 miles
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The natural beauty of Clallam County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The Klahowya Campground to Bear Creek section of Soleduck River is 7.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II+ section. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of
rivers for that. The Klahowya Campground to Bear Creek stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The put-in location is a short drive from Port Angeles, there's a road map further down the page with
more info on that. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Olympic Mountains scenery is wonderful. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
