The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd     better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The nature scenery of Clallam County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. Briefly about the general area: The high level of rainfall makes Soleduck River a pretty wet place; the   month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Soleduck River while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Soleduck River.
