The natural beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This stretch of Soleduck River in Washington is 7.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places
for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national
average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Hatchery to Salmon Drive stretch is just one of many.
