This section of Soleduck River - North Fork is 5.3 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the North Fork Trail Bridge to FR 2918 Bridge stretch is just one of them. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll
find a large number of good rivers. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You can pitch a tent or park
your RV at a nearby campground. The beautiful Olympic Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The put-in is not too far from Port Angeles, as you can see on the road map further down. The nature scenery of Clallam County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
Briefly about the general area: There are good places to explore along the Aurora Trail, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Port Angeles for sure. Soleduck River - North Fork is a relatively wet place frequently with lots of rainfall; of all
the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime at Soleduck River - North Fork arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Daytime highs all through
the winter are in the 40's while Soleduck River - North Fork nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do in the Olympic Mountains.
