The nature scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The starting point is not too far from Port Angeles, as you can see on the road map further down. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The beautiful Olympic Mountains scenery is an added bonus. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.     No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving.
