The scenic beauty of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down South Praire Creek attract people from near and far. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch of South Praire Creek     in Pierce County is 5.8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II+ section. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The starting point is not too far from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
