If you're coming from Spokane it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are     not easy. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. No shortage of good hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.
