The wonderful Spokane County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The     Harvard Park to Mirabeau Park section of Spokane River in Washington is 5.5 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Harvard Park to Mirabeau Park section is one of them. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
