The beautiful scenery of Spokane County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. This stretch of Spokane River is 6.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III+ section of whitewater. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more.     Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the T.Highway Menach Bridge in Spokane to Plese Flats section is one of them. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Briefly about the general area: Bowl and Pitcher is a splendid local attraction. For the duration of the long summer   days highs here at Spokane River reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
