If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. The Squire Creek Road to dowstream stretch is the only paddling stretch along Squire Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're
all set. The nature scenery of Snohomish County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The Squire Creek Road to dowstream section of Squire Creek is 3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. Getting your paddling muscles activated
and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
Briefly about the general area: Squire Creek is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain while July is typically the driest month. Through the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Squire Creek. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop
down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 40's, and night lows at Squire Creek during the winter mostly descend into the 30's.
