The scenic beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This stretch of Squire Creek in Washington is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better reserve in advance
because these hotels fill up quick. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an
area with plenty of rivers for that. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. Squire Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Squire Creek Road to dowstream section is the only one.
Briefly about the general area: Through the summertime here at Squire Creek, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Squire Creek dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
The high level of rain makes Squire Creek a pretty wet spot; November is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest.
