The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The to Washougal River stretch of Stebbins Creek is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V(V+) section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Washington scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are no other stretches to paddle along Stebbins Creek than
the to Washougal River stretch. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Stebbins Creek frequently tend to be in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Stebbins Creek are in the 30's. Lots of rainfall
