This section of Stebbins Creek in Washington is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V(V+) section. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling stretch along Stebbins Creek. The wonderful Washington scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Stebbins Creek attract people from near and
far. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.
Briefly about the general area: So much amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too fine to be true. The warmest time of the year at Stebbins Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun
is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Stebbins Creek are in the 30's. There's good hiking along the Washougal Trail, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Stebbins Creek; Green Leaf Trail is a fine local
trail. Stebbins Creek usually gets a large amount of rain; most of the rain falls through December, and the driest month of the year is July.
