This section of Stehekin River in Chelan County is 10 miles long and has been rated as a class II(IV) section by American Whitewater. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are no other stretches     to paddle along Stehekin River than the Agnes Creek to Lake Chelan stretch. The natural beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water have people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Daytime highs during the winter are in the   30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Stehekin River.
