  The starting location is a short drive from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, as you can see on the road map further down. The Verlot to Granite Falls section of Stillaguamish River - South Fork in Washington is 12.3 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Snohomish County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. There's camping available near Stillaguamish River - South Fork. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so
    go ahead and pack your camp stove. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are
plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well.
