The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Mill Pond to North Fork Sullivan section is

Briefly about the general area: During the summer at Sullivan River temperatures are mostly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Sullivan River temperatures fall to the 10's. It is very dehydrated here at Sullivan River regularly; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and September meanwhile is the driest month.
