This section of Sultan River is 11 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV+ section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. Whitewater rafting     and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Sultan River a wet site; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. For the duration of the summertime highs   here at Sultan River get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Sultan River temperatures fall to the 30's.
