The Spada Reservoir to Powerhouse section of Sultan River in Snohomish County is 11 miles long and is a class III-IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. This stretch     has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The nature scenery of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The Spada Reservoir to Powerhouse section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the summertime, highs usually are in the 70's at Sultan River with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows   in the 30's for Sultan River. Sultan River sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest.
