If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The Spada Reservoir to Powerhouse stretch of Sultan River in Washington is 11 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV+ section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack     your sleeping bag too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Sultan River regularly tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, commonly in the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 40's, and winter   nights come with lows in the 30's to Sultan River. Sultan River sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
