The Powerhouse to Fishing Access stretch of Sultan River in unknown County is 2 miles long and is a class III-IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This section is quite short     so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Powerhouse to Fishing Access section is one of them. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. There's camping available near Sultan River. Briefly about the general area: Sultan River is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here while July is usually the driest month. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Sultan River reach the 70's, and all through summer nights   temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sultan River plunge into the 30's.
