King
county,
Marten Creek to Middle Fork Snoqualmie section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV 3 miles
This section of Taylor River is 3 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The scenic beauty of King County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots
of paddling spots. There are no other stretches to paddle along Taylor River than the Marten Creek to Middle Fork Snoqualmie stretch. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The beauty of the Northern Cascade
Range is a great plus for this river. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came.
